NICOLE ESTEVES
President and Coach
I'm fresh in Australia, but since I moved to this wonderful country I played representative and social volleyball, I also had chance to play for the Copenhagen University and back in Brazil I had start a beach volleyball school in my city Niteroi, where I also play representative volleyball for several clubs. I absolutely love Volleyball and this year with a mind for strategy, I got my Volleyball coach course done and I decided to contact some women's group from the Brazilian community in Northern Beaches to play and training volleyball. This group started to grow and today we are a family and I'm very proud to be part of.
HEIDI SAMBADE
Vice President
I was born in Australia but given my Brazilian and Swiss heritage I spent many years in Brazil and Switzerland. During that time I played indoor volleyball in representative teams. In Australia I have mainly played social volleyball (both indoor and beach). However after having children I found it really difficult to get back into sports.
Although there were a number of great volleyball associations, they were either composed of mixed teams, too far from home or needed me to commit to too many days/week to training/competing. Making it impossible for me to just play and get back home at a reasonable time!Â
The NBBG association has allowed me to get back to the sport that I enjoy as it's an all women's group, it's close to home and I have the option of playing in the social or squads group.
